The Brooklyn Hospital Foundation Declared “We’ve Got You!” at the Recent Founders Ball
June 3, 2026
On May 18, more than 600 dedicated and caring friends, physicians and business partners came together at the iconic Brooklyn Museum in support of the hospital’s 2026 Founders Ball!
This year’s event — themed “We’ve got you!” — celebrated the many ways that The Brooklyn Hospital Center (鶹ý) provides comprehensive, compassionate care for nearly 300,000 patients annually. Whether patients are seeking lifesaving care following an accident, a safe delivery as a first-time mother, a knee replacement, dental surgery or vaccinations for school-aged kids, Brooklynites can find it all at 鶹ý. Guests were transported to a whimsical wonderland of vibrant spring colors, fantastic florals and hints of surprises to come. As in previous years, there was sumptuous food, cocktails and live music throughout the evening.
Guests were treated to a big reveal in the after party — the space was transformed into a retro Coney Island Boardwalk with plenty of fun carnival games, cotton candy, fortune tellers and live jazz.
Thanks to the efforts of the generous community of supporters, the Foundation raised more than $1,430,000 at the sold-out event, topping last year's total. Proceeds raised from the event will help make major advancements at 鶹ý possible, such as the purchase of state-of-the-art medical equipment, the modernization of facilities, and enhancements to clinical programs.
This year’s Founders Ball was chaired by Martha Bakos Dietz,鶹ý Trustee, and honored:
- Robert DiGregorio, PharmD, FNAP, Chief Pharmacotherapy Officer, The Brooklyn Hospital Center - Walter E. Reed Medalist
- Lizanne Fontaine, Chair, Board of Trustees, The Brooklyn Hospital Center - Founders Medalist
The Brooklyn Hospital Foundation extends its deepest appreciation to the event’s lead sponsors: New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (also the event’s exclusive underwriter for the cocktail reception), St. George’s University and Robert E. Buckholz.
